if you happen to get a BFP
By Christmas, do you plan on telling your family and friends? Have you thought about how you might tell your DH?
Would love to hear creative ways of sharing the news.

Re: if you happen to get a BFP
i have no creative ways to tell dh but we should know if this month is THE month, within a few days of Christmas. it will probably be ridiculously obvious to my family being christmas eve generally involves a lot of red wine and i'm not one to abstain

Hell to the no - after my miscarriages, after seeing everyone else I've seen go through them, I do not recommend telling anyone until after the very earliest you see the heartbeat... but honestly your best bet is to wait until after the first trimester is over. I don't plan on telling family and friends until I am about 15 weeks, MAYBE tell my mom before then but that's because I'd be telling her of any more miscarriages I have anyway. Trust me, it's easier to just tell everyone later, then to have to go back and tell EVERYONE that you miscarried.
It's not something you want or even expect to happen, but it's a million times more common than you'd think.

Re: if you happen to get a BFP
we found out about my first pregnancy mid-dec and while I really didnt want to we told our families at the holidays because DH really wanted to tell everyone in person. This was after betas only, no sono. It all went well.
I am in the middle of my third MC now, one after seeing a heartbeat. If we are lucky enough to get pregnant again, I will not announce until much much later. More because I dont want to announce until I feel like I can get excited about the pregnancy.

I didn't, I got AF, but I was going to put my stick in a plastic bag and then in a box and wrap it up and tell him I had an early present for him.

if you happen to get a BFP
For DH, I put a hamburger bun in the oven and told him to open it. He had no idea what I was trying to tell him lol but then he noticed the tests on the counter.
For my mom and her side of the family, we had them over and got a cake that said "we are having a baby" and the person who wrote it had the sloppiest handwriting so we just had them attempt to read it lol.
For my dad and IL's we had them over for my dad's and MIL's bdays as they are on the same day. We got them each a card that said Happy Birthday Grandpa/Grandma from the baby.

Re: if you happen to get a BFP
I would defiantly tell my mom. My Dad just passed away and she could really use something to be happy about this christmas.

Re: if you happen to get a BFP
As much as I would want to, I wouldn't tell my family until after 8-12 weeks. I've had a book and a card for my DH ready since we started TTC 2 years ago so I would probably wrap that and tell him that Christmas came early.

if you happen to get a BFP
I have no idea on how I would tell DH- lol!
I'd plan to tell our parents on Xmas- assuming that all my numbers are looking good!
However we wouldnt tell anyone else ( we don't want our other 2 children to know and I def. don't want work to know- for as long as I can pull it off) til the earliest 12weeks!

For my ds it took us 2 years to get pg so when we found out I told the world.... I don't regret that decision one bit.
For #2 my family will still know right away and then we will decide from there. I showed super early with ds so my guess is I won't be able to hide it long.
I'm not into the cute ways to tell people. We just spit it out.
