How do you keep yourself from testing early?
Today I am 11 days passed the day I O'd. Technically I can test now, right?
How do I stop myself from testing early... I don't want to be upset. But I am dying to know. What do you do to control yourself?
Also, my period has been kind of wonky lately. I am predicting getting my period on the 8th. However, based on when I O'd... I think I could get it as early as the 5th. Would you wait to test until the 8th? Or would you test early??
Okay, I realize I need to relax and stop thinking about this.
Thanks!!

I would try to wait until the 5th.
With that said, I tested early the past two months and got BFNs.
Do what feels right. Go with your gut!

Just wait-- think of testing early as throwing money away. Even the most sensitive tests may not detect hcg this early.

Re: How do you keep yourself from testing early?
I ran out and bought the dollar store tests so I can test early and not spend a lot. I took 3 tests! The first two were negative, then my final one I took on the day of my supposed period and finally got a faint line. I confirmed it with more testing, but point is, I really got upset thinking I wasn't pregnant, and I really was. So testing early isn't as fun as it seems.

I just didn't see the point of testing early. If I was going to get a BFP, it would be there after AF was due so why waste time and money for possible disappointment. I rathered get AF and not waste a test then set myself up for the disappointment. I actually kept tests in my drawer for about a year and I was never tempted.

How do you keep yourself from testing early?
Also, if you're 11DPO now, you have a 15 or 16 day LP?

I tested 10dpo this time around. Normally, I would wait until day AF was due.

Thanks for all the responses!! I am going to wait until the 8th.
Based on last month I thought I had a 14 day LP. But I O'd earlier then I thought I would. If I am supposed to get my period on the 8th, then I would have a 16 day LP.
Thanks again.

Re: How do you keep yourself from testing early?
Tests are expensive so after a while it makes it easier to wait when your throwing money away. But it's hard to wait, especially when your misreading signs. Every time II break down and test early I get my period within 24 hours. So I stopped.
That being said, this cycle I've been dying to test, I did my first IUI and for once I know I ovulated. But I spotted last night so I'm thinking I'm out.

I would wait a few days. I am not testing yet. Supposed to get AF on Thursday but I don't think I am pregnant - been PMSing and have cramps.
