Bundling your baby and carseats
DD is 13 mos and I am often confused how to layer her for winter. If she has a sweater on it seems like too much to put a jacket over that and them put her in the car seat. I have some nice fleeces she wears over a long sleeve shirt and that works nicely. It is not that cold yet where I live and I load her in the garage and run in quickly wherever we go. If we are on a walk I bundle her well. What does everyone else do and does your LO wear a jacket in the car seat?

My dd never wears a jacket in the car. It is actually recommended that you don't.

We use the 3 in 1 jacket from the childrens place. DS wears the fleece part in the car then we put on the outer shell once we get to our destination if we are going out (beyond running inside from the car).

I usually have her in a light fleece.

Same. I put a heavy blanket over her and the car seat cover (shower cap style).

I feel stupid for asking this but what is the shower cap car seat cover. I have the bundleme and it gets annoying because I feel with her legs now it's too tight.

The bundleme is not recommended because it goes in between the baby and the carseat. This is what i have.

Re: Bundling your baby and carseats
You should dress a baby in a car seat like you would for the Spring or Fall. A nice Fleece Jacket and for warmth use a blanket over the child after they are strapped in. If you like, you may also use a "shower cap" type of cover. However, you should never use a BundleMe, they are not considered safe to use.
We never place anything between a child and a seat that did not come with the seat. This is a topic that has been discussed before. I will add what I always say - just because a parent uses it does not make it proper to use.

Re: Bundling your baby and carseats
In the car we put DD in a Northface fleece and then put a blanket over her legs. If we're going somewhere that we'll be outside for a long time I just bring her heavier jacket with us and put it on once we reach our destination.

This is just for the infant car seat, right?
