Night terrors

With all due respect i am not looking for a textbook or wiki answer. I need real examples

What is the youngest this happened
Did you notice anything triggered it
Did anything help

Night terrors

I'm not sure if this counts as night terrors but as early as 5 months dd would scream/cry in her sleep for 10-20 minutes a night
I would go in and try to console her (rub her back) but it didn't help. I never woke her though. They weren't occurring nightly but at 9 months she still cries in her sleep every so often

My DD had them for the first time at just a few months old. At first, we use to pick her up and try and console her but she would just become more frantic and upset. Over time we learned to leave her be when she had an episode. It was worse for us than her, she never even remembered it happening. The night terror would last a few seconds to minutes and then she'd be back asleep as if nothing happened.

Over time it went away and then the night terrors would return periodically. She's 5 now and hasn't had a night terror now since probably around age 2, if not a little younger. They were always just a phase.

I know it's stressful but they will pass. Hang in there.

We noticed some issues around 8 months. Dr chalked it up to gas. He would cry, moan, and scream for 10-15 minutes at night and there was nothing I could do for it.

At 3 y/o, I noticed a lot more night terrors and I was able to narrow it down to red and yellow food dye. They were happening only on nights where he had "treats" and when I eliminated them, they went away... They would occur 2-3 hours after he went to bed and then it would go on almost every 1-2 hours after that. There was nothing to do to help him. Now that he is red dye free, he doesn't have them. Yellow dye hasn't bothered him as much lately...

Dd had what I'm still not sure was night terrors

There was a month period where she woke up screaming her head off. A different kind of scream

It lasted a out a month and she popped her first tooth. At the same time so I'm still not sure i it was the teeth or night terrors
