Noisy Newborn
My DD is 1 week old and we have noticed the past few nights she is always making noise in her sleep! It doesn't seem to wake her- sometimes she just stretches and the sounds stop. But all night long it's like hearing a chipmunk in our room lol. Anyone else experience this?

Noisy Newborn
Yes, DD was a very loud sleeper. I couldn't sleep because of it. We moved her into living room, right outside our bedroom. Then we started with a white noise machine that helped (me too) a lot.

Oh yes...my DD grunted, snorted, etc. She was so noisy.

This with my son. It got much better once we moved him out of the rock n' play and into his crib. Between him, my husband and the dog it sounded like there was a 12 piece band in my room.

Mine was a big time grunter!!! So noisy but we dealt with it and it didn't seem to bother her. She will grow out of it and then you'll miss it and start freaking out wondering if she's breathing when she's silent LOL.

Yup, DS is 6 weeks on Saturday and I think I posted this same thing at 1 week! I have gotten used to his noises and only half wake up now for his 'sleep' noises - his 'awake' or 'waking up' noises are the ones I pay attention to. You'll start to differentiate soon, even in your sleep! He is still in the RnP in our room so it may get better when we transition to the crib.

Yes! I slept so terribly bc I would wake at every movement. At 5 weeks we put her in the crib in her room (which is right down the hall from our room) and turned the volume off on the monitor. It was a lifesaver - she's close enough that when she cries we hear her but her middle of the night fuss/stretch/yawn/ cough no longer wakes us

Yes! I think at about two weeks, we put DS in his own room for this reaon. I hated to do it, but we were getting ZERO sleep with all the noise he made!
