Convertable car seat
Please recommend your Convertable car seat. I'm looking at the britax advocate but I'm concerned it's going to be too big for my car (05 rav4),

Convertable car seat
Can't vouch for it but that is the exact one I just bought two of actually. If you do end up getting it amazon has it for $236, normally $380!

Re: Convertable car seat
'highly recommend the Diono convertible car seat. My two younger kids have it (my eldest has the Radian, which is what they used to call it before). We love how it's not bulky and we can fit all three in the second row. We were drawn by the safety features and slim design.

For the Rav4 I recommend the Britax Marathon or Boulevard not the Advocate. I also DO NOT recommend the Diono convertible car seats for the Rav4. They do not work well.

Thanks. Just curious as to why you recommend those 2 britax but not the advocate.

For the Rav4 - the car seat will be installed on the passenger side. The sides of the advocate makes it too wide a seat to fit well.
Also, I do not believe the sides offer the extra protection advertised. The reason is that injuries in car crashes are a result of the forces of the crash. If we have to rely on the "wings" to add the extra protection, odds are the forces of that crash are severe.

Convertable car seat
We bought a diono.... It gets amazing reviews. Haven't installed it yet, but was told we could get 3 across in our Chevy equinox, which was important since we're planning to keep this car for a long time

Not sure what you will end up buying but amazon has britax at crazy prices for their lightening deals. I ended up with the advocate for $212!!! I know the pavilion is coming up too.

Re: Convertable car seat
We bought the Graco my 70 recently and we're happy with it. It got good reviews and it was budget friendly. I just couldn't see spending over $300.

Re: Convertable car seat
Again do not buy the Dinono for your car. It is important to match the car and the seat together. Please look at the recommendations I have given you for your car.
