Disney pool question

we're going to Disney the last week of February. We're staying at Fort Wilderness Campground. My parents have a big RV and they're driving down. so DH, DS, and I are flying down to meet them and we're all staying in their RV LOL
Its awesome because my parents offered to take any big stuff we need with them, so we can take less on the plane I'm starting to think about what we can give them to take.
I thought about his Puddle Jumper for the pool there (if we have pool weather!). When I told my friend, she said something about that Disney didn't let you use your own swimmie things like that?? That you had to use the ones they provide? something to do with insurance maybe??
Can anybody tell me if this is true or not? Not that its a huge deal either way- but it would be one less thing to have my parents take

We just went this Feb (and yes the boys swam) and I dont think they were allowed to use their swimmies (would be nice if I could totally remember).

ETA: Actually, if I remember correctly, he could wear it in the pool, but was not allowed to wear it on the slide!

We used our own swimmies and such at the Poly, no problem.

I would think you can use them at the pool but not at the water parks

Most public pools won't let you use a non approved coast guard device. The puddle jumper is coast guard approved, swimmies are not. With that said, I'm pretty sure that Disney lets you use swimmies. They have an abundance of life jackets on property also.
