Brief Exposure to chemicals at work

We are at a meeting and there was a renovation in a nearby office where I think I got a whiff of paint and maybe some floor polish. It wasn't until we finished up where I had to pass it by which I covered my face. I am 24 weeks and my next OB appt is Wed but should I be overly concerned? It was just this one time so I now know to avoid that area.

Thanks

I probably wouldn't be too concerned. Dh painted the nursery and that smell lingered for a few days. They also polish our floors at work often..,dd is a happy and healthy 9 month old

Re: Brief Exposure to chemicals at work

When I was pregnant they were renovating my office and putting down carpet with this toxic smelling glue. I asked to move desks for a few days so it wasn't as strong but it was still there.
All was fine with DD.
My OB said you'd have to be breathing that in 8 hours a dayfor most of your pregnancy for it to gave any harmful effects.

I also wouldn't be concerned. We refinished wood floors when I first got pregnant. I moved out for a week but was still concerned. My doctor said I'd basically have to drink it for it to be harmful.

I wouldn't be concerned. No way a whiff of something can harm the baby. My job polishes the floor, uses cleaners and paints on almost daily basis and it never affected me while pregnant.

I'm with everyone else. A whiff would do nothing.
