Congrats on your baby boy!!
Just curious..why weren't you given an epidural earlier on for the pain?? Seems like you suffered way too long :(. I know sometimes they get scared to administer early bc it can slow labor, but from my experiences it helped labor along since I was relaxed .. Sorry it was such a crazy experience..enjoy your son , you deserve it!!

Oh man what a story. Sorry you had such a bad experience. I had such a great experience at SB. But had a similar experience with my first with a different hospital. Absolutely no support and no help BF. I felt lost, and I know it's a horrible feeling.
I know with doctors they like you to deliver within a certain amount of time after your water breaks. Do the midwifes let you go longer? I'm glad you and your baby are healthy and okay.

I'm not sure if there was a specific time frame but I know as soon as I was able to get it I did. I remember asking for it sooner and they said I needed to dilate more.

Ugh such a horrible feeling, right?
Yes, the midwives let you go longer after your water breaks than an OB would. In hindsight, that definitely contributed to getting a fever and the baby going to the NICU, but I didn't know that then. I was always monitored and I'm sure if there was a real danger at any point they would've just done the C immediately.
