Re: drinking tea?
I drink all kinds! Decaf green tea, passion tea, chamomile, raspberry leaf, pregnancy tea, black tea, decaf chai, rooibos, etc.
My midwife also okayed throat coat once a day when I was sick, and smooth move for constipation no more than once every three days, but that one actually gave me such bad stomach cramps, I only took it once.
My midwife is super pro tea and didn't tell me to avoid any kinds except medicinal teas. I just run those by her. A lot of medicinal teas have senna, liquirish root and slippery elm in them, which can have adverse side effects for pregos. It depends on you and your OB/midwife's comfort level.

Re: drinking tea?
I drink green tea almost everyday. The only one I stay away from is Raspberry Leaf but once I hit 37 weeks came on.

Re: drinking tea?
The only tea I've had while pregnant is mint tea when my stomach would be upset- it was one of the few things that made me feel better.

Its interesting, I have read both sides on Raspberry Leaf Tea. My midwife is very much pro and even gave me a whole packet about its benefits! She wants me to drink it a lot, but some people are told to avoid it! I wonder why there are so many conflicting views on it...

Re: drinking tea?
I drank green tea every morning before BFP. When I researched green tea and pregnancy, it says that it depletes the folic acid in your body so I haven't drank any since. I switched to regular decaf tea...just feel like I need something warm in the mornings. Maybe I'll ask my midwife next visit if I can still have green tea.
