planning a party around your due date
DH will be turning 30 this year....3 days after DC2 due date
I would like to have a surprise birthday dinner for him with a few of his closest friends but am not sure when to do it.
I dont want to do it after DC2 is born bc I wont have anyone to watch the kids.
how far in advance would you have the dinner?
4 week before his birthday/my due date? 2 weeks? 6 weeks?
if only dc2 would tell me when it plan on arriving that would make life much easier

If it was me I would do it 6-8 weeks before. You will hopefully still feel okay at that point and I would be scared to plan closer to due date in case I went early

I know it's not always a good point of reference, but when was DC1 born? I would prob do it around 37 weeks not later cuz aside from the baby making a possible early appearance, I don't think you'll be up to doing too much entertaining...

DC1 was 8 days late
