So what usually comes next?

My Dr has me going for Cd 3 bloodwork, ultrasound at CD14 and then CD22 bloodwork...

What happens after that; more tests? Generally a DX? How quickly did you get the results from each test? Will they tell me during that ultrasound if Ill actually "O" this month, or that something doesn't look right?

I keep thinking that throughout the month, Ill be a tad closer to some answers or a "plan"- but now I'm wondering if nothing will be formally discussed until the end of the cycle???

Re: So what usually comes next?

I recently just went through my testing too. At your ultrasound your doc should be able to give you your results from your bloodwork. Basically their looking for any hormonal issues and to make sure that your ovulating. The ultrasound they look for a few things, they should be able to see follicles on your ovaries and they check to see how your uterus is, making sure theres no polyps, fribroid, etc. Its also pretty typical to send you for an HSG to make sure your tubes are open, an ultrasound cannot determine this. And also they'll probably want to check DH to make sure he's all good. GL!

usually, when i go in for CD 3 testing, they call me the exact same day and tell me to take whatever medicine i had already been prescribed. then i had to go in on CD 12 to have an ultrasound. they make you keep going back to check to see if your follicles are the right size and if they are, then its up to you and your RE/DR to see what the next step would be (ex: HcG shot, IUI, timed intercourse) My RE doesn't even bother with CD 22 testing because if I get a period then obviously, nothing happened (but then again, he also knows for sure that I ovulated because I have to use the HcG trigger. but they don't do any testing other than at CD 3(bloodwork) and then obviously, beta testing if necessary
