Have you ever skipped your beta?
I'm really debating whether or not to go in for a beta tomorrow. I already know its a BFN, and hearing it from the nurse will break my heart. I tried to not get my hopes up, but I thought maybe I was just a late implanter and I would get a bfp by now. But at 13dpiui, my chances are slim to none.
I guess its on to IVF in the spring (hopefully)

Re: Have you ever skipped your beta?
I'm sorry
I have only skipped beta when I wasn't on progesterone. They would actually give me the option of going or not telling me if I test BFP to call or wait until AF arrives to schedule CD3. . But when you're on progesterone, you won't get your period until you stop so I would go for the blood and wait for them to tell me to stop.

4 cycles I didn't go to beta because I didn't make it that far. I'd go - you're not out until AF comes. Xox

I'm sorry , I dealt with this yesterday same thing I knew it was a BFN all day on Sunday and was a wreck. I went yesterday and left work hysterical when I got the call , I should have sent it to voicemail . It sucks but I had my cry time and feel better today . There is always a possibility stay positive

Absolutely! When I was a newbie and didn't know better I would go. But time after time, clinic after clinic; I saved myself the co-pays & the dreading voicemails.

Re: Have you ever skipped your beta?
I was tempted not to, but still went anyway knowing it was a BFN (and I was on progesterone, I just didn't put it in that morning and sure enough a few hours later AF came)

Re: Have you ever skipped your beta?
So I tested this morning, and of course BFN so I ended up not going. No need to waste my time going in when I already know what the outcome is. I stopped the progesterone and now just waiting for AF. Surprisingly, I am ok with this- things happen for a reason and this wasn't my time.
I'll be taking a break for a few months, I absolutely need to lose weight, and I'd like to start acupuncture before we begin IVF in the spring, so hopefully this will be a good change.
Best of luck to you all

I took a break btwn my live IVF cycle in March and FET in Sept. I went on a diet, improving my eating habits, started Pilates and just went on vacations. I think it really helped as not only we discovered a polyp and had it removed, we also just relaxed from constant IF life and now have a BFP enjoy the time off

Re: Have you ever skipped your beta?
i know you said you already skipped it but I wanted to chime in with a few experiences I had that might not be something you (or someone else) think about. the one time i skipped a beta after IUI, i had gotten AF. i went for my usual 3 day bloodwork to start the next cycle right away and my beta came back positive. thank god i started another cycle right away because it turned out i was pregnant and it was ectopic (which explained the low beta number and bleeding that i thought was AF). there is also the chance of a very early miscarriage. obviously not things that we want to happen but i always like having more information, just in case. something to think about for next time. good luck

I'm so sorry about the BFN! But, it sounds like you are okay with things and have a plan already. We're all here if you need anything and hope this doesn't mean you won't be coming to the boards until next Spring!!!

I'm sorry. I myself am taking a break until maybe late spring/ summer after my failed cycles these past few months, it's actually very less stressful without always having TTC on the mind. Good luck to you!

Sorry about your BFN.
It sounds like you have the right attitude though. Me and DH got a couples massage before my transfer to help me to relax, maybe you and your DH can take a little get away before starting IVF. You deserve some relaxation time.
