from tummy to sitting and pulling up to stand - DS skipped over a lot, normal?

So he wont go from tummy to sitting, he'll go from tummy to pulling up to stand. He will only crawl on belly, if he has to ... to get to something to pull up on. Then he's cruising all over, leaning against walls, etc.

I let him go wild in his room and watching him on monitor, he lost a shoe in the process but I can see he is very proud of himself. He reaches something new, he screams and bangs on it to declare it.

I got tired of helping him go from laying to sitting, I wanted him to figure it out, well he did except he skipped the sitting part.

So we can't crawl, we can't go from tummy to sitting, but we can go from laying down to pulling up and he's leaning on walls cruising.

I feel like u are explaining my dd. She hates tummy time or sitting.. I try to sit her down and she locks her legs and wants to stand only. I think she is goin to start walkin earlier than expected. She is only 5 1/2 months and she is so strong!!! It's amazing to watch their progress!

my little guy went from tummy crawling - the army crawl -to pulling up and cruising - but then he learned to crawl normally and get into a sitting position - so you never know what they will do next
