How long will you wait...
To tell your family and friends that your pregnant? Will you wait 13 weeks?? Or will you tell people right away??

Just my siblings and parents will know right away. Everyone else will have to wait for the 3 month mark. I'm very superstitious abt this kind of stuff.

My parents will know after us...not sure how long till after they know. My guess is that we'll wait for after our first exam. My sister and IL's will be next.
After that we'll wait as best as we can to the 3 month mark...some people *might* have to know first...it will be announced to close friends first and then branch out from there to make a FB announcement.

How long will you wait...
Wishful thinking that there will be a 3rd time around for us....
Our parents/siblings will know immed.
We will tell our older children and everyone else when Im ready to come out at work (between 10-12 weeks- or later if I can "hide" it)

Thanks ladies, was just trying to get opinions as to how long you will wait. When and if I become PG I don't know how long I can keep it a secret for lol. But I will try!! Thanks for sharing

Because I've already had 2 losses, I will not be telling ANYONE with the exception of DH before I see the heartbeat at the very earliest, most likely won't tell anyone until 12 weeks.

Thanks! I know so many women that have had at least 1 loss - in fact it's extraordinarily common. That's why I'm always surprised when someone announces before the end of the first trimester. I get telling parents, especially mom, right away - honestly I'd probably do that after the first 8 weeks, because at that point she'd be told about another loss anyway.

How long will you wait...
Told my sister the day after I got a BFP.
Told my mom, her family and 1 SIL at 7w3d after the first appt and saw the HB.
Told my dad and IL's at 9w3d.
Came out to everyone at almost 14 weeks after finding out the NT scan came back clear.

How long will you wait...
We'll probably tell close friends and family after our first sonogram once we hear the heartbeat. I'll probably tell everyone else after the NT scan, and then will come out on FB shortly after everyone we wanted to tell in person has been told.

thanks everyone. We will probably tell my parents and his after the first doctors appointment and my family. But then wait until 13 weeks to tell everyone else. Thanks for all your advice and opinions

My parents will know right away. DH wants to wait at least a month to tell his family. By boss (who is like an Uncle to me) and possible future partner I will tell ASAP, especially if I am his partner by then. Everyone else minimum of 12 weeks.

Yeah we are thinking to wait to tell everyone else. But my family and his can know :)

I just realized that if I got a BFP this month I would be 11 weeks at Christmas. I think... if I am doing my math right, though I don't have 28 day cycles, so maybe not. But if I am I think I would tell my family on Christmas Eve, tell my friends that week and FB announce it on New Years Eve.

sorry for your loss. With ds wetold family and one friend at 9 weeks, nearly 10 because it was christmas adn presented the perfect opportunity. Work and friends found out at 12 w6d (only because ineeded to have a sono done and miss work), and facebook found out at 6 months. my ss found out at 8 weeks- in adn around his birthday. i too was superstitious after experience a loss.
