Great Wolf - any tips?
We are taking our first trip to Great Wolf in a few weeks. Kids are 5 and 7.
Any tips, things I need to know before hand? Should I bring my own towels? a bathrobe for the hallways? My 5 year old still isn't a strong swimming, should I bring a life vest for her?
I pre-purchased the magic quest thing for both kids.
I hear the food is OK/pricey - should be get pizza delivered?
My plan is to leave LI early Sunday morning, so we have most of the day at the water park. Not sure what time we will leave on Monday. Anything else cool to check out in the area?
Thanks

They have plenty of life vests and towels, I wouldn't bring any. I would bring a swim cover up for walking in the halls, it gets chilly out there. The water park itself is HOT.
Food is pricey and for the most part gross. There are a lot of places that deliver to there. There are a bunch of menus in the book in the room.
Since you are only going for one night, I would just spend Monday in the waterpark, and other fun areas in the hotel as well. You can shower and change in the locker rooms before your drive home.

Re: Great Wolf - any tips?
The one thing I forgot was sweatpants or some type of coverup for myself. The pool area is very warm but if you want to walk back to the room it's nice to have something other than a towel to wrap up in. There are plenty of towels and swim vests but the vests are the clunky, plasticy kind so if you have one your child prefers you should bring it. The food is limited and very pricey - we brought our own snacks, drinks and did buy a pizza to take back to the room from their pizza place. There's not much nearby to go to eat if I remember correctly. Have fun!
