What do you ladies plan on using for a winter coat? I will be 5 months come December but I don't want to spend so much on a maternity coat that I may never wear again.. Figured id see what everyone else was planning to do.

I have frigid cold dog walks in my future so Ill be looking for something warm. Definitely going to be looking for something reasonably priced and keeping an eye out for sales. Maybe black friday??

Re: winter coat
I bought a north face last year in a size up. I'm hoping I can fit in it this year. If not, I may just later some vests underneath and keep it open. ..

Re: winter coat
I'm due in January and planning to play it by ear. If my baby furnace keeps me warm enough I will just wear my regular coats unbuttoned, maybe with a warm scarf.

Re: winter coat
After a tip I got on here, I bought a maternity winter coat online at Walmart. Yes, Walmart. I'd never normally buy clothes there but I was being cheap and didn't want to buy a coat I'd probably only wear for 2-3 months tops. It was $20 and $1 for shipping. It looks like a no frills black winter coat. It did the job.

Re: winter coat
I am going to see how long my puffy jacket from The Gap lasts. I live upstate so I will definitely need a warm jacket. I am hoping to make it past Christmas so everything will be on sale. We will see. If not, I will pick up something cheap from ON, Target, or Walmart.

I got one from Old Navy for about $20 when I was pregnant with Ds 2 (due in March).
With DS 1 - I was due in December and I just wore one of DH's coats since I didn't realize Old Navy had such cute cheap ones.

Re: winter coat
I am due in early January. I bought a wool wrap and will just layer. I did not want to waste money on a coat. Plus I am always hot. Even if I bought I coat I prob would not even be closing it so I can just do that with one of my coats now.

Re: winter coat
Last time with DD my regular coat still fit during the winter - she was a may baby - this baby is also a may baby so I am hoping that my regular winter coat will still fit like last time.

I will be 5 months as well. I just got a jacket for around $100 in Burlington. It's on the longer side so it works well. If I can't zip it at some point oh well. I usually wear med or large so I got an XL and will wear it next year, it will be big but oh well.
