My DD gets a huge cut on her face right before....
her first birthday portraits 
Literally, a couple of hours before we were scheduled to be there (12 today) she gets a huge gash across her chin into her cheek! UGH... she is such a little daredevil, and she was playing with her twin sister when she crashed her face into the side of the play yard.
I had to reschedule. Has this ever happened to anyone? I need to commiserate. And I think I need a bottle of wine.

Can the photographer just retouch her face in the photos?
ETA - not sure if that is too complicated or will cost an arm and a leg. Just figured you could ask them

my DD got scratched on her chin and eye at daycare right before her 2nd bday shots. We had to reschedule it bc target said they couldnt edit it out.

My DD got a bad scratch on her face (and it was like the only one ever) right before her 1st birthday party. At least your MIL didn't tell you that you should have covered it up with makeup... because I really want to be putting makeup on my 1 year old for a scratch... Yes it stunk but it wasnt the end of the world. now its a story.

yup DS got a scrape across his forehead the day before his 1 year old pics when he fell against the (sharp) corner of a coffee table at his grandparents (that, IMO, could have used corner guards).
I moved his hair to cover the scrape, and I didn't get any close ups of his face, so you couldn't really tell.

the photographer should be able to photoshop (or whatever) it. I do monthly pictures of dd and post them on fb and the morning of her 5 month ones, she had a huge cut on her nose. I have a photographer friend who I emailed the pic and it took her a couple minutes to fix it and send it back to me.

My DD gets a huge cut on her face right before....
We are scheduled this week and DD has a small yellow bruise on her head...if it's not healed and it shows up in pictures, I will probably edit it out of the closeups. But yes, it's always something...last time she got scratched by the underside of the bow on her photoshoot headband.
