Bummer update***
So I am supposed to return to my RE for blood tomorrow, but I just tested at home. I couldn't hold out any longer the 2ww was killing me. BFN .... I just dont understand, I did everything I was supposed to do. I am new to IVF this was my first cycle . I was told they transferred back 1 eight cell and 2 six cells. What could have gone wrong? Anyone test at home then blood turned out BFP? Im pretty bummed. I really thought this would work.
Update- just got the call from my blood test this morning. My cycle failed no rhyme or reason , RE actually said I had really good chances with my egg quality , just unexplained. We have a follow up appt tomorrow to talk about the next step. To be honest I'm devastated I left work for a mental health day, I know each day will get easier I'm just having a pity party for today . Back on the horse tomorrow.

It could still be early. That's why they do a blood test and not a urine test. Traces of hcg can be too low to detect in urine yet.
With that said though you can do everything you're supposed to, have a perfect cycle and it still not work. I did two ivfs to get pregnant.

Re: Bummer
I am so sorry!
We have done TI perfectly, we've had perfect IUIs, all negative. Our first IVF was not perfect, but still could have resulted in a pregnancy and didn't.
Please do not blame yourself, you did not do anything wrong. The science isn't perfect. You just have to keep on keeping on. It's hard. I know, but this is not your fault.

The thing I have to keep reminding myself is that this is all science and science is far then perfect. No matter what we do, it could be a perfect cycle, sometimes it just doesn't work. Happened to me twice already. Thing is to stay postitive, focused and proactive!!!!! Xoxo

been there myself. 3 failed IUI's and 1 cycle of IVF. I was so upset after the failed IVF cycle not only did I left work with a second of getting the call I took 2 days off. I call it "that time when I had a nervous breakdown" Don't worry, most importantly ur getting in to see ur Dr ASAP to formulate a new plan. As the rest of the girls said - even under most perfect conditions it might not work. My Dr also said that sometimes amazing quality of eggs/embryos doesn't mean anything, sometimes women get pregnant with a way lower quality as before failing to implant with better. So nothing is lost

I had the same experience with my first 2 FET's - both negative, but not really an explanation with either. It SUCKS, so I feel for you

Re: Bummer update***
It CAN happen. I know it is frustrating to have a failed cycle, but sometimes the embryos are not as good as they look. I had success on my 3rd cycle.
