Chicago
I've heard so many great things about Chicago and would love to go there for our anniversary. How's the weather in March? What airport do I land in? In what location should I book the hotel?

Don't know about the weather in March. You can fly into O'Hare or Midway. I would book a hotel around Michigan Ave - doesn't have to be right on Michigan, but close to there. (I like the area between Wacker Drive and the Lake Shore Dr.) There are a lot of things within walking distance of that area.

I'm looking at Hilton Chicago which is on Michigan Ave, Cultural Mile. Is this good?

The area across from the parks(Grant/Millenium) is very nice. I am not very familiar with the night life in that area - but the parks are beautiful and I believe its also close to the Field Museum. I've walked all over the city, during the day and that area is not very far from the area I mentioned. Just not sure about night life- but nothing much more than a short cab ride away.

Re: Chicago
Any hotel recommendations that is in the middle of it all?
ETS: I'm looking for a Hilton hotel since I get a discount with them. Thanks

I think the hotel you were looking at is in a very good location - I'm just not very familiar with that area. I've stayed at the Hyatt on E. Wacker Dr - very nice, great location and I would definitely recommend it. I've stayed at the Hotel Sax - its a funky boutique hotel right next to the House of Blues. I loved the decor and the location, but the rooms are very small. I stayed at the W on Lakeshore Dr - again a really nice hotel, but a little bit out of the way. I also stayed at the Four Points Sheraton (I think on State St) - nothing fancy, but a nice, clean hotel in a great location.

I stayed at the Wyndham Grand Chicago in July - it was a great hotel, good location!
We ate at The Girl and the Goat and it was incredible! You need to make a reservation a few months in advance.

Re: Chicago
march is still freezing (for me anyways) my son's b-day party las yr. was mid april and i was still cold as temps were in the high 50's. it is a beautiful, clean city. can't go wrong with staying in any of higher end hotels near the mag mile, millenium park or museums. we have some great ones; field, shedd aquarium and adler planetarium.
lots to do here. also cute funky neighborhoods that have different personalities.
feel free to FM me about anything specific. lived in south loop for a few yrs. and have been in chicago area since graduating college late 90's

The food there was amazing!! DH and I got lucky and got there when it opened at around 4:30 and were able to get a table without a reservation . DH complained that only 80 year olds eat dinner at that time, but he shut up once he realized how good it was.
We went in April for a cubs game and froze our behinds off. I almost didn't bring a winter coat but I am glad I did. The next day was sunny so it was fine for walking around but was still on the cool side.
We stayed at the majestic hotel, it was really nice but a bit off the beaten path.
