Suffolk OBGYN- Who did your c section
Last time I had San Roman & Petraco assisted. It wasn't planned, but the result of a 2 day long failed induction. It went well and I had a great recovery, so no complaints.
I'll be scheduling a c this time, and trying to decide who I want to request.
I really like Petraco & Schrieber (but he seems SO young).
Anyone LOVE who did their c?
ETA: You can PM me if you prefer-anyone to try to avoid?

Re: Suffolk OBGYN- Who did your c section
Dr. Strittmatter did both of my c-sections. He's the best IMO.
I personally was not fond of Dr. Marshak.

He was handling my induction and literally went off duty like 2 hours before my c-section!! I really like him too, haven't seen him yet this time...maybe I'll try to see him when I make my next appointment.

Re: Suffolk OBGYN- Who did your c section
My 1st c-section was done by Marshak, San Roman assisted
2nd c-section was Strittmatter and Petraco assisted
Both were great. However I used to always see Marshak for regular appointments, since my second baby I've switched to Strittmatter. Really like him. I would still see Marshak if Strittmatter wasn't available though.

You can play with it a little, by trying to pick a different date.
I gave my first and second choice for dates, and ended up with the 2nd choice. Luckily for me, I liked both Drs that were on those days.

I was told by one of the Drs that I can request a Dr, and they can TRY to accommodate depending on who's on around the date I need to be scheduled for.
As it is, 1 week before my due date is a Sunday, and I don't know if they even schedule them on Sundays.
So I'm already thinking of Mon, Tue, or Wed of that week as options, I have to see what DH thinks will be best for his work schedule. As long as there is no medical reason that I MUST be scheduled for a specific date, I don't see why they won't try to accommodate. I was told I could have a VBAC if I wanted, so I'm assuming I have some flexibility about scheduling my C the week before. Hopefully I'm not being delusional!

If the Drs are still on the same schedule from last year, Marshak is on Mondays and Strittmatter Tuesdays

Awesome, hopefully they are, bc Tuesday is our preference and out of those 2, I know Strittmater better than Marshak (although I do like her too).

Re: Suffolk OBGYN- Who did your c section
Petraco did my first one and he was amaaaaaaaazing. I adore him. Amazing OB/GYN.
Unfortunately, he wasn't available for my second one so Richter did it, Lograno assisted. They were ok.
I had to see Shrieber a few times while pregnant and then once in the hospital. I haaaaaaaaaated him. He was nice but completely clueless. I swear, he has no idea what he's doing. I wouldn't let him cut into me if my life depended on it. My sister had a horrible experience with him too, he delivered her DS.
Even the nurses commented on him to me one day when I was complaining about him. Looooong story but I was ready to murder him on a few occasions. They weren't thrilled with him either. I would avoid him at ALL costs if you can.

I like Schreiber in the office, but I totally could see him like you described... He just seems so young, and goofy!
I don't think I've ever seen Richter at all, but I have mixed feelings about Lograno.
Thanks for the responses everyone!! Petraco and Stritmatter are my 1st & 2nd choices!
