Disney and asking age
DS2 is 2 years old. Do they ask the kid's age when there? I wasn't planning on bringing his birth certificate.

Technically they aren't allowed to ask their age.. They never asked when we went and they never asked our friends when they took their kids. And they were older then 3 the last trip we went on together. One was in the stroller and they just wheeled him right through. They never used his ticket that year.

We got DS a ticket when he was 3.75 and 4.5. Both times, we only got asked once for his age. Most of the time, they did not even swipe his card. we were never asked for proof of age.
I have read online that the gatekeepers do ask kids their ages when they don't have tickets. Like my 4.5yo now would totally say he is 4 and half. If I was trying to sneak him as under 3, we could have gotten caught.
eta: Our 2.5yo was never asked his age. I think they are somewhat trained to gauge kids' ages. If your child is a 2yo toddler, you won't have any problems.

The second time we took DS1 he was a week from his 3rd birthday. And my son is BIG for his age, so he has always looked 6m-1year old than his actual age. They never asked. I stayed on site and so my room key was our ticket.
This last time ds2 turned 2 while we were there. they asked his age, but nothing more when we picked up our tix at will call. I had pre bought them as part of a costco travel pkg but we stayed off site.

We went last year when DS 2 was 2 3/4 and we were never asked (but, he is small for his age).
