What age for Disney
What is the absolute youngest age a kid can go to Disney and enjoy it? Not necessarily remember it but enjoy it? Like with waiting on lines, etc.

Re: What age for Disney
We took DS at 5 months. He seemed to love it. We watched the shows and parades and fireworks and he was great with it all. Our friends have been taking their kids since they were 2 months and 11 months..Now 10 and 13. I think they love it at any age..I am biased though... I love Disney...Taking DS in October for his 2nd birthday!!!

Re: What age for Disney
I think it largely depends on the child - but - DD#1's 1st trip was at 15 months. She had a blast - she was clapping, dancing and singing on the rides. She wasn't scared of any ride and went on everything that didn't have a height restriction (which is most of the parks).
Our second trip DD#1 was almost 3 (34.5 months) and DD#2 turned 1 on the trip. So we celebrated her 1st birthday our last full day of the trip. I can tell you that DD#1 remembers the trip in detail even now (we went May 15-24, 2010). She can tell you where she met Mary Poppins, or Buzz lightyear, or what rides we went on etc. She remembers dining with the princesses at Akershus and can tell you what she wore and what princesses were there. DD#2 doesn't remember (I don't think) but she got off pirates and as we were walking out she started singing yo ho yo ho a pirates life, and she was singing its a small world a little bit as well. She loved all of the rides and had a great time.
I will say it is some work on your part - and you have to take the trip at their pace (we leave at lunch time around 1 or a little before) and nap and swim. Then we return around 4 or so for dinner and a few more rides and if we are going to the parks the next day (rather than a pool morning) we don't stay out that late. We are at the parks when they open to get the most rides in with the least amount of lines.
I think honestly as early as you want to bring them is good. I wanted to wait until they could enjoy the lights, music, characters, etc. I think 12-18 months is a good time for a 1st trip - although you will see TONS of babies anywhere from 1 month up.
