Hates carseat
DD is 10 wks old and she hates being in her carseat. She goes from crying to screaming in the car. And since its an infant carrier that snaps into the stroller, she's not happy going for walks either. Anyone else go through this? Any tips or ideas on how to make this work? Everyone I know talks about how much LO loves the car/stroller and how the baby always falls asleep. DD is the complete opposite.

my dd hated the car. maybe it was the carseat, or rear facing, not really sure. I switched her to a convertible by 6 months the latest and that was a little better but it was when I turned her forward facing that was even better and with the ipad to watch tv that was even better. She still hates being strapped in.
I have no real advice but I hated every car ride for over a year :(
and she very rarely slept in the car, even still today at3 yrs she needs to be really tired or be in the car for a long time.

DS hated the car seat too. I think he was hot and did not like to be strapped in. I took out the infant insert and moved the shoulder straps up and it helped. It took some time for him to really like it. Will she go into the seat for a walk without being strapped in? Or does she just hate the seat all together?

I have a video of my DD, probably around that age, screaming like crazy. That went away after probably 4 mths and she switched to the convertible at 6. Good luck!

DD hated hers to. She was actually switched to the convertible (rear facing obviously) around 4 months old. It was a PIA b/c I didn'y have the convenience of the infant carrier/snap-n-go but honestly the peace in the car made it worth it.

That's how my DD was as an infant and still is today. Hated the car, and stroller. Honestly, it only slightly improved when we put the DVD player on in the backseat.

Hates carseat
My 5 month old daughter is the same way in fact I dread driving with her. I wanted to go pumpkin picking but I wouldn't drive more then 45 min with her. My poor DS has to deal with it and some times she cries so hard that she is out of breath. I'm hoping when move her into the bigger seat she will be better.

16 months and my DS still hates car rides...He rarely sleeps or has ever slept in the car. Long trips (greater then 30 minutes) are aweful and usually either me or DH sits in the back with him to try and provide entertainment. He has about 3 minute limit on car trips. The stroller got a bit better after losing the snap and go but now he wants to walk instead of ride so he isn't as happy in his regular stroller either. I found and find it extremely frustrating because I am totally not someone who likes to stay at home. Wish I had better advice/news but it didn't really get better for us. I have heard from others that their children improve as they get older.
