My DD HATES her carseat!
Am I the only one who has a child that HATES the car seat? She is 11 weeks old and everytime I put her in she SCREAMS! I checked the straps I hung toys for her to look at but she just isn't happy.

do you have a mirror on the headrest that she can look at? my DS loves it because he can see the back of my head  and himself.

MINE HATED IT!!!! I mean he would scream bloody murder when he was put in it. He was fine when the car was moving, but when you hit a light or stop sign... HOLY COW!!! Lets just say that for weeks, i drove like a bat out of h*ll and ran quite a few stop signs.
It took about 3 1/2 months for him to accept it and not cry. Although at 6 months now, he still hates it. When we put him in it, he arches his back and tries to turn away. He does fine for the most part, but if he's in it after a few hours... he's hit his limit and he lets you know it.
It's fun let me tell you!

Do you have a mirror in the car?
Does she stop once you are driving? Is it just getting strapped in that she doesn't like?
At 2 months my son was a crazy lunatic in his carseat (not just when I put him in it but the ENTIRE car-ride) - I had to switch to the Marathon -- but he was also really big at that point and just not comfy in it.
Switching to the Marathon was the best thing I did!

I wish I had advice. Both my kids HATED the car seat. HATED!!!! DD was okay when the car was moving by the time she was 3 1/2 months or so, but DS is 5 1/2 months and still HATES it. It makes traveling dreadful but we do it anyway. I try to make sure he has a full belly before going anywhere...it's hit or miss. So not much advice just LOTS of sympathy!!!

Oh my goodness did Ryan despise the carseat! When he was a newborn all he did was sleep so it was no big deal. But by 8 weeks he was much more alert and hated every moment of it unless we were moving in the car.
Now at 6 months he loves looking out the window and hanging out. But every time we put him in he screams.

another possibility is that she hates your brand of carseat. I've read probably almost a 100 carseat reviews, and some parents report that certain carseats are not padded enough or are angled a bit wierd.... their kids hated that seat, and when they bought another one out of frustration, the same baby LOVED the new seat.
check amazon reviews for your brand to double check that it's not an uncomfy seat

I checked on amazon, they dont sell it. (Graco Deco). I looked at the babiesrus reviews and they are great. Thanks for the tip though.

I am going to try the mirror and hopefully it works. I was going to switch to the Evenflo Triumph Advance LX, but my concern is getting in and out of the car and stores since she isn't sitting up on her own? I usually would just snap her carseat into the shopping cart or snap and go. Any advice?

My oldest DD hated the carseat from the day she was born. She would scream the minute we put her in it until we took her out. This lasted until she was around 1 1/2 years old

Just recline your stroller and lay the baby down. That's what everyone did before the snap n go was invented

Kaydyn hated the car seat up until 3 months or so. She would scream and cry almost the entire time she was in there. It stopped bothering her soo much when she was around 3 months. She still at almost a year cries when she is in the car seat sometimes, but it's a lot better than it was when she was a newborn. I think she just doesn't like to be restrained.

Noah wa slike that too. I used to cry taking him in the car. He outgrew it within a few more weeks...by like 14 weeks he was much better.
