San Francisco area - Off the beaten path
Next week I'm going (without DH) to visit a good friend who lives between San Fran & Napa. I've been there several times before and have done all of the major tourist stuff. We will have a couple of days of just "girl time" and the rest of the time will be with her DH and 2 yr old. I am really just happy to be visiting my friend, but was wondering if there are any off the beaten path or less well known things in the area that would be fun or interesting to do.

A Cote restuarant in Oakland is really great. The food and wine are delicious! Nice backyard patio.
Brown Sugar Kitchen , also in Oakland, has one of the best brunches I've ever had in my life.

A trip to Point Reyes might be nice. Beautiful views of Pacific, lighthouse, cute little town to have lunch in.
