NT scan and gender question
DH and I just left our NT scan and we are so happy that everything looks perfectly normal. Baby was measuring exactly where he/she should be and sono tech says everything looks great. After, when the doctor asked if we had any questions my husband jokingly said "any chance we've got a boy in there?" The doctor replied that the sono tech is very good and if she thought she saw something clearly she would have commented on it.
We would love a boy or girl but DH is dying for a boy. Has anyone seen nothing at the NT scan (no nub etc) and then ended up having a boy? I know it's early but I really got nervous that there's no chance we're having a boy. We had a pretty clear view of the legs from underneath.

NT scan and gender question
It's still kind of early I think. When I was reading about what happens at 16w, they said that now is around the time when they can tell gender. I'm going on Friday for my early anatomy scan at 17w1d so I'm hoping they'll be able to determine gender!

its def early at the NT scan, but i also took a meternity21 test and they were able to tell the chromosomes of the baby
we are having a baby boy!!!
and will confirm at our 20 week sono

With my first 2 kids the NT scan was around 12 and they wouldnt even guess, with #3 i went late, almost 14 weeks and there was a nub, she told us we were having a boy.. later i found out both genders have nubs in the beginning and we are def having a girl.
So i really think at 12 weeks u cant tell anything, so no worries you are just as likely to have a boy or girl!

We've been told nothing at 12 weeks both times and I will soon have two boys. You'll know soon enough!

Thanks for your replies! After the doctor's comment my husbands face just fell. He loves dd so so much and will be happy as long as baby is healthy but I know having a little boy would just mean the world to him.
At least I know it's still an option. Thanks!!

NT scan and gender question
It is too early to tell at 12 weeks- the genitals are not developed enough for the doctor or technician to tell with and level of reliability.

We had a very clear view of underneath the legs at my NT with #2. Literally saw nothing so I said "must be another girl, I see nothing between the legs." Tech said she saw a nub pointing upwards and her guess was 
She was right. Good luck !

NT scan and gender question
Our sono tech wouldn't even guess at 12 weeks. We ended up going to a 3d sono place and found out at 16W!

I wouldn't rely in the NT scan! They actually guessed girl at mine and he was boy all the way lol!
