Re: 6 month old starting to not sleep at night!! Help
DS (7 months) did not sleep well when his teeth came him both times so far and sleeps terrible when he has a cold. But when the teeth are done and the cold his gone he goes back to his regular sleeping habits.
My ped told me once he started sleeping through the night never to give him a bottle again in the middle of the night. We never have, I think that has helped alot!

6 month old starting to not sleep at night!! Help
I wouldn't nurse her. She is not waking because she is hungry...she is probably in pain.
Have you tried Tylenol or Motrin????

Re: 6 month old starting to not sleep at night!! Help
I know this isn't a popular solution around here, but I personally see absolutely NO reason for a baby to have to be in pain - so, if I knew my boys were getting teeth, I'd give them tylenol or motrin before bed - The Ped told me the pressure is worse and more painful when they're laying down - so while I didn't over medicate them during the day (I gave them meds when they seemed to be in a lot of pain awake) I DID give it to them at night ........
Also, youi say she had a cold, have you had her checked for an ear infection? With my first, we had maybe one or two nights that were bad w/ his teeth, the second was a bit more, but still not excessiive ......but my kids did have a lot of ear infections, and the only time they were up constantly at night.

She's 6 months so she can take motrin. Tylenol never did much for my DS, but motrin worked wonders and it even lasts longer!
