Changing cycle....
I went off the pill in June...
First Af was 29 days, then 31, then30 and then 32. This month AF came super early at CD26...
I know birth control makes your cycles kinda crazy, but I'm kinda thrown off and never know what to expect....
This month I was thrown for a loop.... I O'd earlier than I had been (CD13-CD 14) and then AF was much earlier than ever...very painful and very short (only like 3 days; usually I have AF from 5-7 days)...
Mymonthlycycles- it saying my avg cycle going by the last few months is 29 days; so do I go by the 29 days, when trying to figure out starting the OPK's???
Is it "normal" for it to be so sporadic like this? Both my kids- when going off the pill, I went right back to my "normal" 28 day cycles; and no changes in AF....
I guess the very early/painful/short AF; just made me a bit concerned this month...

Changing cycle....
It is very normal to have sporadic cycles after going off the pill... For a long time. I know docs say wait 3 cycles before trying, but the more I read the more I've learned that it can take anywhere from 6 months up to 1 year ++ for your body to return to "normal" for you.

I guess.... I just feel like 5 cycles is a long time
I know things change, and I gotta stop comparing these to my previous pregnancies- but its so hard not to "read into everything" when this has been so much more challenging and the others were so "easy"...

I'll say this too, your body will do insane things when you are TTC - first off - 5 cycles would be SHORT with regards to getting back to normal after being on BCP. Google it - some will say 3 cycles, but there is plenty out there about women who, after about 1 year, are JUST feeling like they are getting back to normal. Also, not every cycle is the same (regardless) sometimes you maybe 31 days, sometimes 32, and on top of that it's totally normal to skip ovulation 1-2 cycles per year. And lastly, every single cycle you will likely think - during the 2WW - that you have symptoms.

Re: Changing cycle....
I'm in the exact same boat as you! But I just had my longest cycle of 39 days! All others were 31, 32, 28 and 26. I'm starting my first OPK kit and just hope I'm not starting it too early.
