So, 5 full days? including overnights?

$500 minimum would be my guess.

How old are your kids? Will she do meal prep or just serve the meals? Will she take them out and about or just watch them at home? Does she have any pets to take care of too?

We have only used family for more than overnight trips, but when we only had two DCs and the dog, we paid the sitter $120 for ~20hrs and we left her $20 for food if she wanted it. The meals were prepared and set out for her, so it was pretty easy.

I'd say if you're doing five days (Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues) for full coverage of all meals, playdates, baths, etc, I'd pay $450-$500.

Re: what would you pay??

When I looked into this, I was told you should blend the rates (i.e. 14 hrs x $15 = $210 + $50 for sleeping at your house for total of $260 per day).

We pay our nanny $150 per day on the weekends to be a mother's helper, cook and clean for us. I would think you would have to pay a minimum of $150 per day. I don't think the fact that your mom coming should lower the dollar amount unless the babysitter can leave during that time.

I would say about 150-250 per night depending on your kids ages, if she is cooking, or doing other household things.

That sounds about right, considering how much we pay our nanny for daytime only.

I would expect to have to pay about 250 per day. Of course, if your kids are in school full time and all she has to do is be there for the bus in the morning and then after school/night time. I might think the rate could be a little less, perhaps 200?

I was thinking close to $1000 if it were 5 full days with no breaks and sleeping at your home. If your family is coming to help where she could leave for a while to get a break each day maybe $700.

I paid my sitter close to $300 to watch my kids a full day for my brothers wedding. 8 am until 2 am.
