I thought it was funnier than it was last season but, still not quite where it was in the past.
I was hoping they would cover a little bit more though - this wedding isn't going to happen until Thanksgiving at this rate!

I didn't watch last season so I can't compare it to that. But I really liked it. I like how they are bringing the mother into it.

I said to DH, do you think he'll meet the mother before the series finale?? Seriously, I'm not sure how many weeks I can take of the cheesy "near misses" they are bound to have.
Also, I really hoped they had moved past the whole Ted/Robin lingering feelings thing... it drives me up a wall. This storyline was old THREE SEASONS ago.
All that said, I still like the show and will watch to the end.

I disagree... I didn't find it funny at all. Maybe a smirk here and there that I thought was cute. I think I only liked the guy at the hotel. 
Other than that... Eh. I expected more.

I read in EW they are dragging out the wedding all season, so each episode will be a flash back to explain the circumstances, but that time will be slowly passing by.
I'm not a fan of the flash backs....my DH loves it because they are covering all their tracks with the story line.

This. The intention of this season is that the entire thing will take place over the wedding weekend. I'm sure they will fill the gaps with a ton of flashbacks and potentially some flash forwards. I've also read that each of the main characters will meet the mother BEFORE Ted ever does, so their meeting is most def going to drag out over most of the season.
That being said...I really enjoyed the first two episodes. They were fun and lighthearted and I enjoyed seeing a glimpse of Ted and the mother together in the future

I was a little dissapointed. It was cute, but teh show def made me laugh a lot more in the passed. Honestly if it takes the whole season for the Robin/Barney wedding or no wedding to occur, i may scream!

I think the whole season is going to be the wedding. Each episode will be a few hours of the weekend and he will meet the mother on the last one.
And I don't think I can take that.

I didn't find it funny. I found it more like torture to watch. I was pretty annoyed that it was longer this time. I just wanted it to end.

I actually liked it. I heard the same that the entire season is the wedding weekend drawn out. The show has really gone downhill though. It's no where near as good as it was when it first started. At this point, now that I saw the mother, I'm kinda eh about that story line. I'm more interested to watch now to see if Robin and Barney actually get married. I feel like she's going to back out
