Disney Pin Trading????
My son has a lot of pins that we have purchased on our various trips, but he doesn't trade them. He is too shy to really get into the whole thing. You have to buy pins to be able to trade them though. Some people buy large lots on ebay, but most of those huge lots are fakes on there.

Ugh...well I guess I can flush my $23 down the toilet...well at least it will LOOK like my son can trade (although most of the negative feedback says that most of them are "scrappers" If I get 3 out of 50 that are authentic then I'm ahead of the game

Awww, well he can wear them on his lanyard! Here is a link with clues to tell which ones you have are real and which aren't.

Re: Disney Pin Trading????
We did this during our first trip to Disney which was 2 weeks ago. But instead of trading, I'm just using as souvenirs. I got them each a princess lanyard, a pin of the hotel we were staying at (POR), a pin of the year we went (2013) and 1 Princess pin (one got Cinderella and the other Rapunzel). So now each time we go to Disney, they can add on to their collection.

This is what we did, DS1 has rec'd 2-3 from each trip we have taken him on. Not all have the year but we get ones that represent something he enjoyed most on the trip or the characters he most liked at the time! Its fun!

Re: Disney Pin Trading????
This is the nonsense resonse I received from the seller:
"Hello The site you are on is operated by people who are fanatical about Disney pins and trading. I assure you that all the pins in your possession are 100% tradable, they are real and we stand behind our products. If you actually look at sites like pinpics, almost every pin that has been produced in the past 5 years can be a scrapper pin. We do not sell scrapper pins. The scrappers are made in China and they are way different from the pins we sell.

Disney Pin Trading????
We only trade with CMs. If they have a teal lanyard, only kids can trade with them, otherwise anyone can. Sometimes they have a small rectangular one at their waist instead. You just nicely ask the CM if you can look at his/her pins, and they will hold out their lanyard to see. If you want to trade, ask to trade for X pin and they will take it off and usually put it on their palm for you to take and for you to place the pin you are trading into their palm.
Some hotels have pin boards you can look at - sometimes it is out sometimes you have to ask to see it. The pin shops in the parks usually have boards too.
you can only trade 2 pins per CM or pin board.
Never ever buy big random lots like that off of ebay b/c they are usually scrappers. BUT the CMs will take any Disney pin - if they think it is a scrapper they will dispose of it. Don't be afraid to use the ones you bought, but I wouldn't buy like that again. Though we did once see security chasing a guy trading scrappers! He was trading the exact same ones, though, I think he was well known?
HTH!!!

Disney Pin Trading????
I am a Disney pin addict! I have thousands of pins. Pin trading is one of my favorite things to do at Disney. It's really fun and kids love it!
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me :)
