3 hr glucose threw up
I still have bad MS. having 5 blood tests drawn 3 every half hour two after an hour each. I ended up throwing up after 3rd bec i was so so sick. I threw up outside while getting air. im so scared it will screw up the score. but i just cnt deal with this test :( anyone throw up half way through or more and passed?

Honestly I'd let the person drawing your blood know that you threw up b/c you may have to take it again another day. When I took mine last week, I had a terrible cold and was coughing a lot. The phlebotomist saw that and thought that I was throwing up from the way I was coughing and she was like, you were able to keep the drink down, right? I would think that it could affect your scores because the drink is no longer in your system once it's thrown up.

Definitely let them know you threw up. Depending on when you did, they might want you to retake the test. Good luck, I hope it's not an issue.

I had 5 blood drawn 3 done I threw up then two more. and yes it is usually void especially if you throw up in the beginning. you hv to pass 2/3 out of 4/5 blood tests but I'm going to see how the first three come out. normally the 3 hour glucose most people have four bloods drawn mine did 5. if i fail first three for instance n pass last two ill tell them but if i pass first three n all i need is 2-3 to pass i wouldnt say anything.

You need to tell your doctor that you vomited during the test.

I don't know about that. I'd still tell. B/c I failed the 1st and 3rd but passed the 2nd and 4th and still got diagnosed. Better safe than sorry IMO. It sucks but what are you going to do. Worse would be omitting the truth from your dr. and really having GD and not getting treated for it.
There's a reason why the draw 4 or 5 times and not just the first 3.

You will skew your results and in the event you have GD, I guess you're cool not knowing the risks it poses to your baby. Just like your ridiculous crib bumpers.

i already told them theyre going to wait to see wat results say since i oy need to.pass 3/5. if i fail theyll just treat me as gd instead of hving me retake it since i still hv ms n cnt handle the test.
