Are there any moms of dairy free toddlers?
Question for you- Is there a cheese and a yogurt that are dairy free but still taste halfway decent?
I am trying to start elminating dairy from DD's diet- she is super constipated to the point where she was crying and sweating last night trying to go. It was awful.
Her poop is always rock hard and tiny pebbles.
I have tried prune juice, fruit, etc- nothing works.
I hear that dairy can be the culprit and while she doesn't really drink any cows milk anymore - she loves cheese and yogurt.
Any alternatives?

I used to give my DS rice cheese and yogurt. I would get them at Whole foods and Wild by Nature. He did great with both of them.

And the rice wasn't binding? I feel like rice is constipating as well- no?

My DD had a dairy allergy as a baby and I EBf so I had to go dairy free. I loved the So Delicious brand coconut products. Especially the milk and yogurt. I never found a decent cheese, but I hear Daiya cheese is Vegan and delicious. You can get it packaged at Stop & Shop and fresh shred at Whole Foods but its $$. I didn't find out about it until after I was back on dairy.

Almond Dream yogurt (vanilla, mixed berry) is very good. Earth balance buttery spread (they have a lot of diff. types). There is a coconut yogurt as well but my DS got diarrhea form it. I have not found a tasty cheese alternative yet (have tried daiya, rice cheese) all are gross IMHO hehe.

My DD Is the same way. I've had her on miralax for a year and a half now and it's not really helping anymore. I just started giving soy milk and am wondering too about cheese and yogurt.
