Dairy Free Moms
What are your staple easy to eat foods? I have not been very good at being 100% dairy free (ie reading labels) and I thought maybe DS had outgrown his intolerence but we supplemented with Gentlease instead of Neocate and what a disaster that was.
I am struggling with what to eat that's easy. Everything quick and easy seems to have dairy. It doesn't help that I am picky either.

Re: Dairy Free Moms
I went to Whole Foods & loaded up on rice milk, dairy free butter (Earth's Natural), dairy free cream cheese (Tofutti), dairy free cookies & ice cream. It has made life much more bearable lol..even though it's a little more money.
Other than that, I eat chicken & beef...no cold cuts because processed meats contain dairy Did you know that McDonald's fries contain dairy?
For fast food options and meal ideas, I go to www.godairyfree.org. HTH

Do you mean potassium and sodium lactates? If so, those are not dairy.

Strohmanns line of breads is dairy free Smart Balance makes a dairy free spread that actually tastes really good. Lots of fruits and veggies baked apples has been a huge thing lately popcorn tortilla chips and salsa cold cuts (read the labels) some forms of chicken nuggets/tenders have no dairy Zataran's rice mixes don't contain dairy
DD's dairy (and beef) allergy has really been a GOOD thing for us as we now eat MUCH healthier so that she can eat what we eat.

The only cold cuts we use are the ones that are packaged with all ingredients listed (this way no cross contamination from the deli case). On many packages of cold cuts (and hotdogs as well), you'll see those listed as ingredients.
I initially searched it on the internet, then brought it up to our allergist who told me that lactic acids are not milk derivatives and are fine to consume.
Just wanted to tell you so that you have a wider variety of foods to eat.
