Housecleaning Cost - how much is too much?

Is $165 for first time deep cleaning and $130 every 2 weeks expensive for housecleaning?

The work will 2-3 hours of work from 2 ladies.

If this is from a licensed and bonded company... probably not too much.

If this is somebody's side business.... yes too much.

Unless your house is huge, I'd say that's too much.

We have 3bed, 3BA, 3LR with mostly HW floors AND a bar area that needs dusting and we were charged $120 for a deep cleaning, $90 every 2 weeks for regular cleaning.

Depends on the size if your house. We have 5BR 3.5 bath expanded colonial and it was $150 for deep cleaning $110 thereafter.

I never knew cleaning was so affordable! Damn i work two jobs and have to clean 4-5 hours crammed in between both jobs and this would be amazing to do! Deep cleaning is scrubbing cabinets and moving stuff around to dust not just half assing it?

Thanks ladies, I have a 2100SF house with 4BR and 1.5BA.

The lady has her own business and is insured and bonded. She does the cleaning with another person.

I thought it's abit high too but I got a quote of $110 per cleaning from another lady who works on her own and isn't insured/bonded.

I guess that is about the going rate for my area of North Jersey :(

We have her come weekly and she charges us $80
I have a finished basement (3 rooms, laundry room and BR)
1st floor 2 bedrooms, bathroom, LR, kitchen, dining room and playroom
2 bedrooms upstairs ( mostly unused so she cleans the 1x momth)

I'd say no especially if you trust them. Mine is 92.00 for a ONE BEDROOM co-op!!! I think I'm getting ripped lol but I trust them to come into my home when I'm not there and that right now is very important.

I believe my SIL has one lady come in weekly and pays at least $100.00.

This is in Massapequa Park. She has a decent size brand new colonial-type home.

4 bedrooms, 3 baths.......large kitchen, LR, DR, formal LR.........

It depends on the size of the house. I dont think it has anything to do with been a side business or not.

Our house is around 1800 sq ft (3 br, 2ba) and we pay $100 weekly for our service (usually 2 people for 2 hours.)

Just house cleaning? My cleaning lady also does my SD's laundry, as well as changing all the bedsheets and laundering those too. We pay her $80 a visit.

We paid $400 for a deep clean of our house, but it's a large house (3300sf, 5 bedrooms, etc) and the previous owner left it absolutely disgusting. It took 4 people all day to clean it so while we were initially shocked by the cost, it really was worth it. We needed the cleaning in order to move in and in retrospect we should have tried to get the escrow funds to cover it because our contract said the house was to be left "broom clean" and it was far from it.

Biweekly cleanings were $90, and then when we redid our basement and added that we upped it to $100. It takes 2 people about 2.5-3 hours. WELL WORTH IT.

Edit, to answer your Q I do think thats a bit on the high side

It's a little high but not that bad. I pay 100 every 2 weeks.

She folds my laundry and changes my sheets.
