Marginal Cord Insertion
Does anyone have it or had it? did it cause preterm labor if you did or lower birth weight?
I may have it and doc wants me to get a second sono to confirm.

I had/have this also! At 20 weeks they sent me for another level II sono, and said i just had to have growth sonos every month. Now at 33 weeks the baby's weight is right at 50th percentile and they determined everything was on track and it wasn't even really marginal insertion anymore! So I had no real problems and I've heard this to be the case with other people that had it. Best of luck!!

I had this with DD2. They don't do anything other than monitor you. I had a couple of extra sonos to make sure the baby was growing (which she was). Her birth weight and DD1's were identical, and DD2 was born a week earlier!

I have this too, and all they're doing is extra sonos to check for growth. My guess is that if the growth slows down, they'll consider taking him early. At 28 weeks, I was right on track...2.5lbs.
