When did you move LO from infant carrier to convertible? weight, height and age please if you remember!

mine will hit the height limit before they hit the weight limit. i will switch them in 1 month (at 9 months old) when they are just below 30 inches (graco snugride 30)

We switched both our boys when they reached the height limit. Our first was 18 months and our second was 15 months.

we did it around 3mos... she looked so uncomfortable in the infant seat... she does much better in the convertible seat

I switched him at 8 months. I don't remember how much he weighed then, maybe a little less than 20 lbs. He has always been very tall though like 95%+ percentile for height.

oh wow... so I am not crazy thinking of switching him soon (he is 6 months)! He looks soooo umcomfortable in there!!!!
The only reason I hate to do it is for when he falls asleep in the car!

I waited as long as possible since DD napped great in there. She was about 21 pounds but 29 inches when we switched her at around 13 months.

We did it at about 14 months when his little brother was born. He was just about to outgrow it. There is no rush out of the carrier you don't have to take it in and out of the car but it is a great option if necessary.

nope, not crazy at all.
DS was 3 months when we switched him out. He was around 27 inches but he looked like he was too big for that thing (there wasn't much room for head head/feet anymore)
The first month after switching him was horrible. He cried bloody murder when we put him in the covertible seat. But after that first month, he seems to really like it. And when he falls asleep in there, half the time, i can take him out of the seat and he'll STILL be asleep

4 months. He was no where near the limit. I was just sick of carrying it.
He probably could still fit in it. At 20m he is only 22lbs

ds was 6 months. His shoulders were wedged in the carrier. At nearly 18 lbs and i think 25 or so inches, we were done. The final straw was when i slipped with him in the carrier and i was walking so crazy to carry teh damn thing.

I've been using the convertible car seat about a month so 8 months oldish
She was about 17 lbs 27 inches, it just got too heavy for me and I had a back Injury s t was just too much too carry at that point

We switched him when he reached the height limit which was 13 months. He weighted at least 25 pounds.

jack was 9 months - 20ish lbs. I wanted so badly to continue using the infant seat (it was winter) but it was just too heavy.
