Pleaseeeee Recommend a Product for Broken Hair

I guess using the hot iron and perhaps on a too hot setting has finally taken a toll on my hair and there are definitely some broken pieces that look like fly away grayish streaks on my dark hair if that makes any sense, ughChat Icon. Can anyone recommend anything to help?

Thanks!

Do you have dandruff too? b/c I have that also and I think it goes hand in hand w/the super dry flyaways.

I bought some new healthy scalp shampoo this weekend, but just started yesterday so I can't speak to the results yet.

Someone posted about coconut oil on another thread today. That sounds like it would be great for dry/damaged/broken hair!

For the past month I've been using Infusium 23 Shampoo, Conditioner and the Leave in treatment. After blow drying I use coconut oil then flat iron.

Moroccan oil treatment? I would lay off of the heating implements and air dry your hair for a little while.

I would def do a coconut oil treatmend. Cover your whole head with it, wrap in a bun and leave on as long as possible, I have even slept with it overnight. I had damage and this has def helped.

Redken makes a line called Anti Snap. It's great for preventing damage and breakage.
I won't do much for the look of the hair that's already broken but it's great for preventing further breakage and strengthening weak areas.
I really like the leave in treatment from this line. Excellent.

Loreal Triple Resist shampoo and conditioner is also great for preventing damage and breaking.

Also make sure you use heat protection on your hair every time you heat style.

Re: Pleaseeeee Recommend a Product for Broken Hair

OMG, I destroyed my hair with a too hot blowdryer, it all broke off, so I know exactly how you feel!!! Chat Icon So, i did a few things. I used these hair masks like 3x a week. I used the "It's a 10" hair mask and the Goldwell Dual senses. I also used Shu Umera Full Shimmer Illuminating shampoo & conditioner. I also stopped blowdrying with heat and used the 'warm' setting, but I only dried it maybe 2 days a week. The rest of the time I just french braided my hair wet for about 3 months. I also dyed it from blonde to black on Friday. It did work, but it was a lot of money & many bad hair days but now it looks much better!

Yes to the above. Also, take a small scissor and just clip off the very tip of the broken ends. That will make it appear smoother and also allow it to grow instead of splitting shorter.
