Re: Brands
Infant Car Seat: Britax B-Safe Infant Car Seat
I found it to be easy to maneuver and open/close without killing yourself vs some of the other ones we had to choose from. Of course, the safety rating was the #1 priority and that was good so then we looked for ease of use second.
Toddler Car Seat: Recaro Performance Ride Convertible Car Seat
Same theory as the infant - rates well and we liked the design of this Italian manufacturer - it looks like it gives the child great head, neck, and side-impact support. It rated that way too. Then, we felt it was super easy to navigate opening and closing. That is key lol!
Stroller: Baby Jogger City Mini GT
We wanted something lightweight and easy to collapse. This was the lightest one out of all of them that wasn't an umbrella stroller lol and it collapses with ONE motion - literally!

Re: Brands
When I had my other 2, Graco was the biggie. Now, it seems there are so many others that are good. I sort of went by Baby Bargains...for the infant seat, I'm still trying to decide between the Graco Snugride 30 (has better ratings than the other ones), and the Britax B-Safe. I like the Graco snap n go better than the others so that is why I'm leaning toward the Graco infant seat, plus the price is more attractive. For a convertible seat, I'm going with the Britax Marathon. It has good ratings, I'm familiar with it, and I like it.
For stroller, I'm in a jam 'cause I still need one for my older DD, who is 4 (developmentally delayed), so I went with the Britax B-ready, cause it is big enough for her, plus I can put the infant seat on the bottom. I also have a sit n stand cause it will accommodate both of them. If I only had the baby, I think I'd go with the City Mini or the Britax B-Agile as my main stroller once the snap n go was outgrown. They both fold up really easily, ride nicely and are relatively light. However, my Graco Quattro Tour (full size stroller) still can't be beat... the one from DD#1 is still rolling. It is like a Timex -- Takes a licking and still keeps on ticking!
Pack n Play, I like the simplest Graco one...it is SO easy to fold and unfold, but has no changing station, toy bar or any other bells and whistles. I did get one with more options to keep out in my livingroom for this baby, but for traveling, I will still use my old Graco one. Again, like a Timex!
Highchair, whatever will fit your house & lifestyle. I will tell you this, the Peg Perego stinks! The tray sits much too high for the baby, and there is no adjustment for that. I also have a Graco, but the wheels don't spin that well so it makes it a bit difficult to maneuver around the kitchen. When you go to the store, roll them around if that is what you need to do at home, and see how they operate. Also try to find one with a wipeable seat cushion. Although the fabric ones look nicer, you don't want to have to wait to wash and air dry the seat cushion before you can feed your LO again!
Exersaucers/Jumperoos, whatever appeals to you. That's all I can think of right now.

Duh, just realized you're a BTDT mom too! Sorry if I'm telling you stuff you already know. Like you, I sort of fall back on Graco, cause it's what I know. I don't think you can go wrong with it, but if you like something better, go for it. I highly recommend checking in Baby Bargains so you don't waste money on bells & whistles you don't need though.
