Please talk to me about Laproscopy
I am having this done next week to remove scar tissue on my Fallopian tube. The doctor also wants to scrape my uterus lining. Has anyone gone through this?

Re: Please talk to me about Laproscopy
I did this May 2012. I had bad endo which she burned off and they did a HSG & D&C (scraping uterus) while I was under anesthesia.
I woke with some cramping but it quickly went away with a shot of morphine in my IV. Went home and just spent some time on my couch a few days. I had help. My mom & Sister came to help to get around but I honestly didn't need much after day 1 and then it was just help off the couch to get to the bathroom, etc etc. But no pain and very minimal bleeding bc she pretty much got everything during the D&C. I had some gas pains from the air they put in you but it wasn't terrible bc I kept moving myself every so often to keep it from getting trapped. I also had gas-x on hand just incase but never needed it.
Don't google. Google has gotten me worked up about every procedure I have ever had and 9 out of 10 they are nothing! A little ehhhh discomfort. Nothing more than the feeling of a bruise.
Good Luck!!

Re: Please talk to me about Laproscopy
Thanks so much for your reply
I am definitely a little nervous about the procedure but I know it's needed. My scar tissue is probably the result of an ectopic pregnancy we had in 2011. We are most likely going straight to IVF because of our MF fertility issues, but my RE believes that the IVF success rate is higher when endometriosis is taken care of.

Good luck hun! My recovery was not bad at all. Three tiny incisions on my belly. I was walking around normally after a day. The gas part def could make you achy though. I had tons of endo on my organs and I was still up and about after a few days so you will be fine! Good luck!

Thanks love! Surgery is Tuesday...I'm nervous which equates to me cleaning the house like a mad woman. You would think I'm preparing for a zombie apocalypse rather than surgery!
