Pros and Cons between Winthrop and Manhasset
Hi everyone! Trying to decide where to deliver and would like to know your pros and cons for Winthrop University and North Shore Manhasset

Pros and Cons between Winthrop and Manhasset
I do not know anything about Winthrop but I gave birth in North Shore Manhasset and had a great experience. They are all private rooms which is a huge plus. The nurses were fantastic and so helpful. Overall I had a great experience and would never think of delivering anywhere else!

This. I delivered twice at North Shore. In 2009 and then this past February. In 2009 the rooms were not private. When I gave birth in February all the rooms were like hotel rooms and private! Great experience both times.

I gave birth in Feb at Winthrop and had a great experience. Their
L & D nurses were amazing!!

The only thing that would sway my decision is that Manhasset has private rooms. If Winthrop had all private rooms then I wouldn't mind delivering there. (I delivered at Manhasset in 2011 and 2012 and while some nurses were good, I had more "laid back nurses, i'll get to you when I get to you types" both times as well as other mishaps! So I will never rave about Manhasset.

I never delivered at Winthrop but many of my friends and family did and they didnt have a private room but they werent entirely happy with the service My SIL wasnt entirely happy.
I liked having a private room in Manhasset but I found that some nurses were better than others. I guess thats anywhere.
I do work at LIJ and all my co-workers had their kids here and rave about it.

i couldn't imagine sharing at room after having had my own room at manhasset!
