Best Way to Clean Hardwood Floors??
I have tried the Swiffer, the Rubbermaid Microfiber Mop, and another mop with a detachable cloth. I never feel like my floors are actually clean. If I wipe a wet paper towel on my floor after cleaning, it is still filthy. My mom swears by the traditional string mops but they just seem so gross to me. I want to be able to just throw it out or throw it in the wash. How do you clean your floors? I want to try something different that works. TIA!
ETA: I did like the Rubbermaid one but the handle broke a couple of months after I bought it. Not very reliable.

Re: Best Way to Clean Hardwood Floors??
I vacuum first, then wipe over the floors with a barely damp sponge mop or my other brush head mop with an old washcloth tied around it. Only warm water, no cleaning products as they dull the finish. I haven't tried Bona yet.

Re: Best Way to Clean Hardwood Floors??
I use this mop
O-Cedar Mop From Target
I put Vinegar and Hot water in the dispenser. Regular mops, string mops, sponge mops, they all left dirt on the floor (Like you said, wipe with paper towel after and it's still dirty) With this mop, the floors are much much cleaner.
I rinse the cloth off between floors though because I feel like I'm just bringing downstairs dirt to upstairs lol Weird I know. But that thing gets filthy !

Same here except I just use room temp water with vinegar. It works great and is so easy. Every now and then I use the steam mop instead.

That is similar to the Rubbermaid one which cleaned nicely, but like I said broke. Hopefully this one would be more durable. How much vinegar do you put in the dispenser? Does it smell after cleaning?

I eyeball it and do about 2 tablespoons. It smells a little but only for a few minutes.

Yea it only smells for a little while. White vinegar is a natural deodorizer.

Re: Best Way to Clean Hardwood Floors??
I was looking at both the rubbermaid & o-cedar, so I'm glad people responded.
I currently use the omop, even though the handle broke off, cause I love it, but they stopped making it. I like to spray my own vinegar-water.
