When waiting to close how often did you hear from your lawyer and/or loan coordinator?

We are waiting on our clear to close. As far as I know everything that the bank needs has been submitted. We have our commitment letter, and my lawyer last informed me on Monday that the only thing left is for the bank to assign an attorney for closing. I last heard from our loan coordinator on Friday, and I checked in today but haven't heard back.

How often should I expect to hear from them? Should i keep checking in every so often or let them contact me if they need anything?

For the record: appraisal, title search, survey and commitment letter have all been completed. The bank has our home insurance info as well. I have asked if there is anything else anyone needs from us at this point and nobody has asked for anything in the last week or so.

The mortgage company we used has a policy that they updated each client 2x/week. We had a ton of issues with our mortgage processor so we were on the phone a lot right up until the very end. If you have fulfilled all of the conditions on your mortgage commitment then all you have left to do is wait for the bank to review your application and give the clear to close.

I called everyone every day until I had answers that satisfied me (i.e. - I've spoken to their lawyer and he's getting back to me with a closing date, etc). I'm sure everyone was glad to be rid of me when the closing was over!
