For all those waiting to close..
Just got off phone with our lawyer. They have to re-appraise the home because of the storm before they can approve us. this is in Floral Park so not sure how other areas are.

For all those waiting to close..
I just mentioned this to a friend of mine who is waiting to close. Last year, I was supposed to close on the sale of my co-op right after hurricane Irene. The closing was delayed because the buyer's bank had to send out the appraiser to re-insepct the building.

For all those waiting to close..
We didn't have our appraisal yet. It was supposed to be Tuesday, but obviously the appraiser canceled. I'm just glad we didn't have any damage. I'm over putting money into this house and just want to get on with the closing process!

For all those waiting to close..
they probably won't re-appraise it..they just send the appraisers out to make sure the property wasn't damaged. I know at my bank, we are giving purchases priority over refinances for this and they are done pretty quickly- as per our experience with Irene last year. As long as the property didn't have any damage- you should be fine
