"standing-room only" event during 29-30wk??

I am thinking about buying tickets for an event in late November. By then, I will be in the middle of my 29th week.

Some of the better seats are considered "standing room only," which means I would be standing for the majority of the event (~3-4 hours). I could always take a break and hang out in the lounge or the rest room....but since this is my first pregnancy, I have no idea what to expect during that time.

For all the BTDT ladies who have passed week 30, what do you think?

Will I be really uncomfortable standing for such a long period of time?

I personally would be uncomfortable for that length of time- but everyone is different so it's hard to say. There are women who go to the gym up to their 9th month and those who can't peel themselves off the couch after the 7th. It's a tough call ... I would see if they have any accommodations in that area (like for people with disabilities) and explain your situation and ask if you could take advantage of that too- just so you have that as an option.

I'm 27 weeks and I think I would be uncomfortable standing for that long.

At 29-30w I would not want to be standing for a few hours!!!

I am 31 weeks and I would personally be OK with it as long as I wasn't having any sciatica/swelling issues.

I don't know if I could just stand in 1 spot for 3-4 hours w/o being pregnant lol.

I am 30 wks, and I dont think id be comfortable standing for that long in one spot.

I could have probably have done it if I were walking or in motion for that long but definitely not if standing in one spot.

hell no! I am almost 27 weeks and had to sit during my daughter's 45 minutes ballet class today.

I wouldnt, Im 30 weeks now and I almost passed out standing in a very long line at Old Navy in June. My Dr said the problem is with not moving, especially if the room is warm and/or has poor air flow

I'm almost 31 weeks and I can maybe stand for 10 minutes without needing to sit down. We flew last week and we were in line for security for about 20 minutes and I had to lean against DH the entire time.

I'm in the middle of my 29th week now and I just went to a concert at JB 2 nights ago (I'll admit- I went to a backstreet boys concert lol)

We had people standing in front of us the entire time so in order to see I had to stand, but I was glad to have a seat to take breaks between songs. If there is a place you can go and sit to take breaks now and then... I think you'd be ok. I would try to walk around a few times throughout the event and take at least 1 or 2 breaks to sit.

I'm 31 weeks and I couldn't do it. But it definitely depends.

When (If) you have more kids- you'll have no choice but to be on your feet alot during your whole pregnancy.

On the one hand- I say "Enjoy being able to just SIT and relax whenever you can!!"

On the other hand- I say "You'll be fine. Possibly a bit uncomfortable at times, but FINE!! Have fun!"

Personally, I would be fine but I think it depends for everyone.

I wouldn't even be comfortable standing that long when I'm not pg!
