south shore obgyn?
anyone have any opinions on this practice- specifically Dr. Gubert? My current practice just stopped taking my insurance, and they're the only ones relatively close by to where I live.

I left her practice after my first OB visit...didnt care for her or her staff. I loved her PA Kathy for GYN visits but OB was a diffrent story. Pretty awful!

Oh no! They're one of the only ones who accept my crappy insurance (humana) near where I live. I'm going in for an annual with Kathy next week, but I was told Dr. Gubert would be the one I would see when I become pregnant. Thanks for the heads up & congrats on your little one

I see Dr. Maria Lockhart there. I LOVE her, but the office itself is not the greatest. Usually wind up waiting for a ridiculous amount of time - but I put up with it because of Dr. Lockhart

I left her practice after 10 long years because they treated me SO badly while I was pregnant. You would think they would care when a pregnant woman comes into the office hysterically crying because of cramping at 11 weeks but nope they didn't they wanted me to wait 4 days for a sono. When I switched to another office and I called to cancel all appointments I had their response was well did you lose the baby? and I was like no and they were like oh well then I don't see the problem... I ended up losing the baby 9 weeks later.
on a brighter note I switched to comprehensive in west islip doctors Vullo and Sampino. I cannot say enough good things about them - they have been so helpful through my loss and I feel confident that they will be helpful through any future pregnancy. If they take your insurance I highly recommend!

I see Dr. Lockhart too but she is with South BAY obgyn, not South SHORE. I get them confused too
And I feel mostly the same about Dr. Lockhart. I used to LOVE her, now I only like her and I hate the office so I'm definitely switching practices very soon.
To the original poster, didn't mean to hijack...no info on South Shore OBGYN. Good luck!

I had this long awful response bc I thought it was about SouthBay in West Islip. South Shore is a different group. I work at a medical office and we refer a lot of patients to South Shore, and most people love it. Another office that isn't too far from there, is Contemporary Women's Care in Islandia.

Dr. Miller and his assistant Pat are great there. I used to go to Guebert but switched from her to Dr. Miller when I was about 20 yrs. I just didn't care for her. My mom used to go to her and liked her though. Good luck
