Spin Off : HO deductible
My deductible is $1000 and I pay less than $1000 for my coverage a year. If you have a $5000 deductible, how much lower is your rate?
I put in a claim after Sandy. I owned the house less than a month. My roof was destroyed as well as my pergola, gutters, etc. It was worth it for me because my roof alone was $16K. My deductible covered tree removal. Just got the renewal in the mail and there was no increase in the premium.
