I would say 'stage' it as well as possible, store in closets/basement/attic as much of your stuff as possible, the less clutter the better picture a buyer can get of how to make a home their own--GOOD LUCK!

Re: house goes on market
SIL staged hers and had 2 offers the first week she put it on the market.
(Granted I think she also lived in a desirable area, not affected by Sandy, but who knows).

Re: house goes on market
Thanks guys I did the best I could with DE cluttering the home. I basically lerft the kitchen, living room, and bedrooms to the bare minimums, my only problem area is my lower level its used as my daughters space so it has a lot of toys I hide/put away all the small stuff but she has a kitchen set a laundry set a roller coaster a vanity and a art easel lol all big items that are to hard to just "hide" they are all organized an stuff I hope it doesn't deter any potential buyers...

If I were a potential buyer the playroom would not bother me and would actually let me know that there is space for my child's things. Don't sweat it!

Re: house goes on market
When we listed our house my DS was just under 2 years old, so his toys were all over the lower level of our home. We did remove ALL the toys to take photos for the listing, but we didn't go crazy trying to hide everything when we had showings. We would just straighten up. I felt it was important to show space in the listing photos, but once people saw the place in person they could easily separate the "stuff" from the actual size/space of the rooms.
