It is popular but even the most common names won't be used as often as when we were kids bc more names are used today whereas our generation (and even more so are parents generation) used the same 100 names.
That said the top girls name right now are: Olivia, Emma, Sophia/fia, Isabella, Gabriella. They are the Jennifer, Jessica, Danielle, Nicole of thisgeneration.

Zero.
Use the name if you like it. Who cares if other children have the same name? I wouldn't choose a name I didn't like as much just because it was less common.

There are 6 Isabellas in my kids daycare under the age of 2.
I work in a school. There were 7 in kindergarten last year between 4 classes.
